PROBLEM

Air quality degradation is recognized by numerous scientific studies as a significant health risk. The research "Premature mortality due to air pollution in European cities: a health impact assessment" from The Lancet Planetary Health highlights that adhering to WHO guidelines could prevent over 50,000 deaths annually due to air pollution. Despite widespread awareness, the urgency to act and innovate solutions remains underdeveloped. This challenge is compounded by the fact that the health impacts of poor air quality often manifest over long periods, leading to a societal underestimation of its severity compared to immediate threats like vehicular accidents. Air pollution is a shared, global, and local issue that demands collective recognition and action.
